Don't judge a book by its cover. Yes, the building is cold and the heating sucked in the recovery room but its the staff which makes a good hospital. Our baby was delivered here by Dr Suresh Nayak supported by the experienced nurses. All of the nurses we met were so caring and knowledgable. I recommend this hospital to anyone who cares about knowledgable experienced staff more than how beautiful is the painting in the lobby. The hospital provided whatever we needed and more for our stay and the first few days.

I was admitted to ER in early Jan 2011 and received superb care from every staff member with whom I came into contact. Extremely professional and engaging nursing staff on the ICU floor. I had many questions during my extended stay in ER and the staff answered all of them no matter how technical. The nursing staff effectively disarmed me such that the emergency situation did not seem quite so dire. I had a follow up meeting upon my release with Dariya Kavanagh, the head nurse of the hospital, to thank her for creating such a caring professional staff. Clearly, had they not exhibited such professionalism and caring, I would not be writing this email today. This is a first class facility and I feel lucky that it is in San Jose for my convenience when needed.

My fiance was admitted with a serious injury and after surgery I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with the RN that was taking care of him throughout the evening. His name was Terrence in the ICU department and I felt so safe leaving my fiance in his care. He was extremely personable and pleasant and he smiled and made us all feel better about the lengthy stay that my fiance faced. I felt it necessary to submit a compliment to the hospital personally, and post a review on yelp. Thank you, Terrence, you are a great person and a very valuable part of the team there.

The emergency room, and ICU staff at Regional Medical Center are an extraordinary group of care givers. My Son was in a car accident on Thursday of last week, and the ambulance delivered him to Regional where the ER staff worked on him and I believe they saved his life.  He then went to the ICU where he was given the best care possible. The night nurse I believe his name is Mark ; a gentleman with a heavy southern accent is the best of the best. He was attentive and caring to my Son. He was also concerned with my wife and I who were at his bedside while he was in the ICU. He took the extra time to talk with us, to explain things to us, and he also made sure we ate and slept. I hope they read this and that they know what they mean to my family. I love them all.
